. info on changes in the NEWS file
. build and test
. tarit
. tag it
. upload release to hepforge 
. update web page


. copy manual to downloads section
  scp -pC HOPPET-v1-doc.pdf hepforge:hoppet/public_html/downloads/

[. run doc/mkhtml.sh (check you have correct local settings) and then
  rsync -avz HOPPET-v1-docl2h hepforge:hoppet/public_html/]
